--April 28th
2008, Andy Nicholson from
www.anglingnews.net & Keith Elliott a fishing
journalist from the Independent newspaper stayed for
5 days & fished for Pike & Sea Trout, the fishing
was hard but we caught sea trout to 9lb
& Jack pike to 6 or 7lb. The spawning isn't over for
the pike so we could hear them splashing in the
reeds but in a week or two it should be good for the
hungry females. We had a sea trout follow Keiths
lure to the side of the boat TWICE!! that was a
definate 10lb + fish..... The trip was a lot of fun
& a lot of the Archipelago was explored in the new
boat which has turned out to be perfect for the job.
--March 20th
2008, Took a
trip down to Vännern in the mid - South of Sweden to
troll for salmon, check this link for the report.

--February
2008, The Bayliner has been sold & a Silver
Shark will take it's place, this allows me to tow
the boat to Vänern & Vättern
for landlocked salmon & char. I can take 3 - 4
guests in the boat & it has a nice electronics
package to help locate the fish.
--January
2008, I've been testing a new hotspot for Pike &
Sea Trout very close to my house & so far it looks
like a fantastic find, I fished for a couple of
hours on the 12th & took a 4.6Kg Pike & a friend
lost a big one, today (13th) I went back & in a
mornings fishing we had a 2Kg Sea Trout & a 3Kg
Pike!! I saw another Sea Trout jumping but it never
took the lure. This venue is perfect for the fly as
there are no obstructions behind, 1m depth to wade
in & about 1km of land
to fish from.
--December
2007, We had a fantastic time towards the end of
December fishing for Sea Trout, in 3 trips we hooked
a 1kg, 3kg, 3.2kg & a fantastic fish of 5.8kg (check
the photos section) We will continue to fish South
of Stockholm until the ice starts then we'll try a
new spot with ice fishing gear & drill for them :)
--Sunday 09/09,
It
was a good day for pike in the archipelago, with two
guests onboard, the day started off with a North
Westerly wind & rain so I chose to fish some wooded
bays that gave us a nice lee. The first place that
we tried (drifted) we caught a jack Pike & really we
never stopped all day!! We used jerkbait, wobblers &
spoons & the jerkbait proved to be the most
productive, (Zalt & Salmo). The fly would have done
well later in the day, but as the wind was strong in
the morning we decided on the "heavy" tackle, (we
had a gale warning that never materialized)
No monsters, but the best fish of the day was
Graeme's which snapped off at the side of the boat &
was around 8 - 9lb. As the day progressed the wind
died, the water was like a mirror & we had some long
slow drifts down the side of the reeds in a big
enclosed bay, small fish were darting everywhere &
the pike were very active & really hitting the lures
hard.
Other wildlife seen today were huge sea eagles, a
mink swimming across one of the bays! migrating
geese & grey herons.
--July 16-20th,
Vince & Eric from the UK stayed at
the Dalarö Strand Hotel
&
fished for Pike, as the fish are more difficult to
catch during July we didn't fill the boat but they
both caught fish & had a good time,
--1st of April,
first fishing trip & shakedown of the boat, it was a
difficult fishing day with zero wind & very
clear water however Matte managed to land one
Seatrout & lost another (see the photo gallery)--
